Gravideck Maxwell - The ElectroMagnetic Motion Simulator

Proof-of-concept prototype of an ultra-maneuverable vehicle using two Linear Induction Motors (LIMs) specially built & designed for this purpose. The propulsion drivetrain is solid state : no moving parts are used.

Travelling magnetic fields sweep the underlying aluminum plate for propulsion. In an alternate embodiment, power is drawn directly from the underlying floor, one aluminum plate being at +24V DC This technology can be the basis of a compact multiple-DOF motion simulator, theme park ride or even vehicle.
